Four-Star Rating from Quality First

Quality First – a signature program of First Things First – partners with regulated early childhood providers to make quality improvements that research proves help children birth to 5 thrive, such as education for teachers to expand their expertise in working with young children. It also supports parents with information about what to look for in quality early childhood programs that goes beyond health and safety to include a nurturing environment that supports their child’s learning.

A Four Star rating, according to Quality First, means that the program is exceeding current state-wide standards of best practice.

Coyote Trail's preschool demonstrated a commitment to best practices in the areas of health and safety and how the program set up, structured, and cares for the children’s daily routines and environment.
The staff showed a commitment to positive relationships, and high-quality language and interactions with children.
The teachers achieved further formal education and Professional Development in the area of Early Childhood Education that adequately prepares them to work with and support children of this age group.
Your program (M.U.S.D. E.L.O) has developed policies and procedures that promote high-quality administrative practices around Staff Qualifications and Staff Retention, Ratios and Group Sizes, and Curriculum and Child Assessment.
