Volleyball on fire We closed out our first season of athletics with a bang!

Our Cross Country girls placed 5th in the league championship and our boys’ team took 3rd place.

Our Marana Bowl was a solid success as our flag football team added a final win to their undefeated season. Our 7th and 8th grade teams were not able to pull off a win, but they did not go down without a fight and held their heads high, which made us all proud! A very special thank you to our families and supporters who made it to the game and never stopped cheering our players on. The display of unconditional support was greatly appreciated.

Our boys’ volleyball team won the league championship tournament and completed another undefeated season. To close out the final week, our 7th and 8th grade softball teams beat our rival Tortolita to both finish as league champions!

Thank you for all your help and support as we enriched the lives of over 300 student athletes this first quarter. We look forward to seeing you courtside at our boys basketball games and our girls soccer games this second quarter.

Coach Westover would like to announce that MMS Boys Basketball tryouts will be on Monday October 15th right after school in the gym. Please bring appropriate basketball shoes, clothes, and a water bottle to tryouts. Everything else will be provided. See you there Falcons.

Coach Ernie and Coach Dave will be holding girls soccer tryouts on Monday October 15th right after school on the soccer fields. Please bring running shoes to run a mile. Shin guards are strongly recommended. The girls will need shorts and T-shirt, along with a water bottle and be ready to work hard. Soccer is a running sport and you will need cleats for field drills.
