Ironwood Student Wins MUSD Spelling Bee!

Spelling Bee Top 5 Arianna Wood, 6th grade student, became the Marana Unified School District’s spelling bee champion in the 14th round. After a spell off between the final two spellers, the Ironwood Elementary School student correctly spelled the final word “argentine” after respelling the word “geisha” which was spelled incorrectly by her opponent.

The District Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:15 am in the auditorium at Marana High School, 12000 W. Emigh Road, Tucson 85743.
