MHS AP World History and Economics Teacher Completes University of Arizona Professional Development Programs

 Chelsey Pings Chelsey Pings, an AP World History and Economics teacher at Marana High School, recently completed professional development programs offered by the University of Arizona Office of Economic Education to learn new content and teaching strategies. Mrs. Pings completed the following programs in 2021: 

  • ECONcierge at Your Service
  • The Economics of Love and Romance
  • Doodle Notes for Economics
  • Teachers Can Be Financially Fit with Dr. Tawni Hunt Ferrarini 

The opportunity provided her with the latest research and resources in content areas that she can bring into her classroom. 

“It is important for teachers to continue professional learning because education is a field that is always changing,” said Mrs. Pings. “There are more tools, strategies, and resources for teaching than ever before and it is important to broaden our tool box to meet the evolving needs of our learners.”
