MHS Principal Dr. Mandel Recipient of 40 Under 40 Award

Dr. Mandel joins an esteemed group of community leaders in Southern Arizona and will be recognized at the 40 under 40 Breakfast Celebration on December 2nd, 2019 at the JW Marriott Starr Pass. 

Dr. Mandel has diligently worked to develop and create an inclusive school culture represented by a clear and compelling vision for the Marana High School community: Empower students to engage in our community and innovate in their world. Students at Marana High are prepared for life after high school and students leave ready for their post-secondary journey. They are prepared to attend college, enter the military, or join the workforce in a meaningful trade. 

Under Dr. Mandel’s leadership, Marana High School’s Career and Technical, dual enrollment, and Advanced Placement programs have significantly grown. In addition, he has advocated for and made an investment in the school’s Fine & Performing Arts programs to ensure a wide variety of course offerings are available to foster the skills and talents of our student population. 

David Mandel has fully embraced the diversity of the Marana High School student body and supported the creation of service, interest, and support student organizations. Whether playing a sport, performing in an ensemble, or engaging in club membership, he cultivates TIGER PRIDE, ensuring that every student feels a sense of belonging at Marana High School.
