MUSD Students shop with Marana Police

Marana police officer shopping at Kohl's with MUSD student. On Saturday, February 25, Marana Unified School District students had an experience they will never forget! Thirty-five students of all ages, chosen based on need, went on a Kohl's shopping spree in Marana with  Marana Police Department officers and volunteers as part of the first "Shop with a Volunteer/Shop with a Cop" event.

"Kohl's was fantastic," said Chief Terry Rozema, the Marana Police Chief. " They really rolled out the red carpet."

According to Marana Police Department Volunteer Thomas Cox, funding for the shopping spree was raised a few months ago at the Pride for the Patch golf tournament for first responders, military, and military veterans.

These very excited youth were able to buy new clothing and shoes as well as other necessities. In addition to the funds raised by the police department, Kohl's provided Kohl's Cash and 25 percent off everything in the store.
