Summer Success! MUSD Food Program & Marana Cares Mobile

Marana Unified School District Food Services Department ensured that over 22,000 children had FREE nutritious breakfast, or lunch, over the 2019 Summer Break. 

8,282 breakfasts and 11,665 lunches were served to children, during the 2019 Summer Food Program which ran at multiple MUSD school locations from May 23rd, through July 26, 2019.  The Food Services Department also served an ADDITIONAL 2,300 meals on the Marana Cares Mobile food bus. 

Kids were able to spend time with friends and enjoy meals at no cost while school was out. In accordance with all USDA rules and regulations, breakfast and lunch meals were provided to all children without charge. Enrollment in an MUSD school was not required.
