Thank You Voters: Prop 491 Passes
A message from Dr. Streeter to the Marana Community:
MUSD Families,
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to you and to our community members for supporting the Marana Unified School District by voting “Yes” on Proposition 491, our School Improvement Bond. The success of the bond election provides critical resources to enhance safety, maintain and modernize school facilities, invest in technology upgrades, and address the significant growth in the District.
The passage of the bond provides us with resources that will allow us to address immediate and long-term needs. This includes implementing campus-specific improvements that ensure our students will have access to exceptional experiences in our classrooms and updated fine arts facilities and athletic fields. Security remains a key priority. We will proceed with physical and technological improvements that enhance safety and strengthen communications on school campuses and with law enforcement partners. Additionally, we will begin planning the future K-8 school in the Gladden Farms II subdivision while identifying ways to expand capacity at other campuses to address increased student enrollment. Finally, we will expand our transportation fleet through the purchase of fuel-efficient buses and vans.
The list of improvements continues, and we pledge to continue our record of good stewardship of taxpayer dollars. We look forward to keeping MUSD and the community informed of our progress as we implement these investments in education.
Since I joined MUSD, I continue to witness the incredible efforts of volunteers and hardworking staff throughout the district. This hard work and commitment exemplifies the strong partnership we maintain between parents and staff, our schools and the community.
I am inspired and energized by our community’s support for our students, teachers, and staff. I am proud to be your superintendent. I look forward to implementing these critical projects with you and preparing your students for the future.
Dan Streeter
Superintendent
