The Marana Unified School District Governing Board unanimously approved a change to the District’s current Mitigation Plan. Per this change, face coverings will be optional for all MUSD employees and students. This change is effective immediately and will be in place for summer programs and moving forward into the 2021-22 school year. The District will continue to maintain mitigation strategies, including physical distancing when possible, regular cleaning and disinfecting, and other precautionary measures. The administration does recommend the continued use of face coverings for unvaccinated individuals when physical distancing is not possible.
