Students, parents and grandparents hang flags on fence for Patriot Day In recognition of Patriot Day to honor our country as well as those who lost their lives in the attacks of September 11 (9-11), Coyote Trail Elementary students participated in wearing red, white, and blue; flag displays; and appreciation to local first responders.

First responders from various organizations were present to assist students with the hanging of flags, and flags remained on display through Tuesday, September 11.

“This is a special day for our school when our students, staff, and families come together to pay tribute to those who were injured or lost their lives in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001,” states Dan Johnson, principal Coyote Trail Elementary. “We take great pride and respect in our community and it is an honor to recognize our dedicated first responders and have them join us on campus as students’ hang their national flag.”
