Our ecology/gardening efforts are officially underway. We've got carrots, radishes, and scallions planted in the raised garden beds at the front gate and wildflowers in the tortoise habitat to attract pollinators.
This new effort will eventually reach all grade-levels, and it is starting with our fourth-grade students. Their classrooms have offered to get the ball rolling and we are grateful to the parents and staff who have truly "planted a seed" within this group of students to start us on this journey.
We could use some help collecting supplies that we can put to use right away. If you have extra items to donate, we could use the following; watering cans, hoes, rakes, planting trays, winter plant starters, lightweight/anti-kinking water hoses, metal shelving units, bags of organic soil (Tanks Green Stuff is an idea), and organic heirloom/heritage seeds (non-GMO).
You can donate directly to the Fourth-grade pod, or leave items in the Front Office.
